It's a Christmas Miracle....in October

We had the special treat of having my sister and her family come visit from Mesa,AZ. She hasn't been here in about 6 years so her visit was long overdue! It was so much fun having her here. We did a lot in four days and how we fit everyone in our one bedroom apartment is beyond me but we did it and had a great time!

Here is my sister and her family

The inseperable duo

Hanging out with the boys watching a movie

Me and my Hannah

Devan, Armando(Cecilio's cousin), and Hannah messing around.

First stop was Gramita's house. This was the first time Ayla had met her great grandmother.

Besitos!

Besitos again!

Second stop, Chicos Tacos of course!

Next, a little sightseeing. Here is the Mexican Flag that can be seen across the border.

Juarez, Mexico

Here is the San Elizario Mission. This is where Cecilio lived when he first moved to El Paso.

Beauty.

Danny's silly smiles.

Sister love

Danny ran ALL over the place. He loved being so free!

No mom, I don't want to leave yet!

Picking up some meat from famous Zekes to make carne asada later on that evening, and.......

a treat!

A very...

very...

very...

messy treat!

The Plaza Theater Downtown

A historic Catholic Church. Not sure of the name.

Carne Asada time! Now we got started a little late and our light outside wasn't working so we had to get a little creative! Let's just say it was a latin style cook out.

Yummy!!

Hannah and her uncle Daryl.

Another view

The next day we woke up early to attend Lowe's Build and Grow workshop. It's a workshop they hold every two weeks where you can build something with your child. Danny really like the hands on aspect of it.

Finished projects.

Relaxing after a busy morning.

Later that evening we drove around town.

Scenic Drive

Earlier that day we had written some "good fortunes". I got this idea from NieNie's blog. We just wrote some nice things on paper and left them wherever we'd go. Unfortunatley we never saw anyone pick them up but we're hopeful they made at least one person's day.

Oooooo, a house we saw on the way. How'd they do that?

Leaving "good fortunes" at the mall.

The kids thought of pretty neat places to hide them.

Hannah's birthday is October 13th so we decided we'd celebrate a little early. Happy Birthday Hannah, we love you!

Here's some pictures we took right before they left. What a blast we had!

Bye guys, we'll miss you and please come back soon!!!!
