Happy Easter!

" Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.
Wherefore, he is the firstfruits unto God, inasmuch as he shall make
intercession for all the children of men; and they that believe in him shall be saved. "

2 Nephi 2:8-9

This was Danny's real first Easter. Last year he was only 4 months old so needless to say, we didn't do much for him. This year however, we probably went overboard. It was so much fun finding things to put in his basket. I think me and Cecilio probably enjoyed putting the basket together more than Danny enjoyed what was in it. We have no regrets though. Danny seemed to have fun. He really enjoyed the Easter egg hunt. I was surprised how quick he caught on. He loved finding the eggs and putting them in his basket. As if our basket wasn't enough, Grandma Jessup made him one too with all kinds of goodies. He's so spoiled :)

First Easter egg hunt. Go get em Danny!

Danny's First Concert

Talk about a good time!! As many of you know Elmo is Danny's absolute favorite. Since he was 6 months old, Elmo has been bringing a smile to Danny's face. He just gets a kick out of him. Thanks to G-ma' Jessup we got to go see Elmo live.

This was Danny's face going up the elevator.
Classic!!
(First elevator ride)

Here he is before the show enjoying the food from his ancestors ........The Churro!!!!

Who's that Danny?

First theater seat experience. He was too light to keep the seat down. He thought it was a game and kept pushing the seat down with his legs. Needless to say, the seat won.

Some shots from the show. Hey, Elmo's looking at us!

Ahhhh, family picture at the Elmo show.

Cousins, Cousins Everywhere

As if seeing his cousins at his great grandmother's house wasn't enough, on Sunday Danny had a chance to spend time with some more of his cousins. Sebby, Stone, and Luke were over at
Grandma Jessup's house.

Happy Birthday Gramita!!

On March 15th my Gramita turned 83 ( I think). I love her so much! She has been such a good example in my life. Always active and putting her talents to use. She can do it all. Cook, bake, sew, quilt, and knit just to name a few.

I remember these elaborate cakes she used to make me and my cousins for our birthdays. She made everything from Star Wars to Care Bears. They were beautiful and delicious. Another thing that comes to mind are the dresses she used to sew for me. I used to HATE it because she would always interupt my playtime to measure me. Looking back though, I am grateful for the beautiful dresses she would sew for me. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Grandma.

On Saturday, everyone gathered at her house to wish her a happy birthday. Family came in from out of town. Danny had a great time. He got to see cousins that he hasn't seen in a long time. They had a lot of fun getting down'n dirty in Grandma's backyard.
